The B-24 Liberator from world war II

Posted on April 8, 2019 by Brie

We went to a museum and on the ceiling there was an airplane from world war II. The airplane had seven people plus a bunch of bombs and weapons and stuff like that so it was pretty crowded in the plane. There were also some people in the very front, the back, and the bottom of the plane, and those people were shooting at the enemies. At those times all the car company’s stopped making cars and started making airplanes and there were airplanes that were ready to go every hour and that’s because once they were done with one plane then they would really quickly start on the next.

Here are some facts about the B-24 liberator. It was a heavy american bomber and it was designed in San Diego, California. The company called it model 32. The B-24 was a modern design featuring a highly efficient shoulder mounted high aspect ratio Davis wing. This wing gave the plane high cruise speed, long range and the ability to carry heavy bombs.
